Grapes typically bear fruit in two seasons. The first harvest occurs in summer, from May to June, and the second in winter, from October to November.
Alongside vineyards primarily selling to traders or established buyers, many local growers have embraced agritourism. These vineyards welcome visitors for tours, photo opportunities, hands-on experiences, and tasting fresh, ripe grapes straight from the vine.

Lăng Văn Toán (born 2000) recently visited a vineyard in Bãi Dạn, Bình Sơn Commune, Lục Nam District, Bắc Giang Province.
He noted that the grapes were in peak season, with lush, heavy clusters. The vineyard cultivates two varieties: Green Milk and Black Summer grapes.
Black Summer grapes are seedless, known for their large, round, and plump fruits. Their glossy black skin encases juicy flesh. Visitors relish their sweet, crisp, and refreshing flavor.
Green Milk grapes have green skin and large, even clusters with thin skins. They offer a mild sweetness and a distinct milky aroma.
Lush clusters of Black Summer grapes hang heavily on the vines.
Toán shared that this was his second visit to this bountiful vineyard, located 27km from his home.
“Though I haven’t visited the famous grape-growing regions in Central Vietnam, I’m fortunate to enjoy fresh, juicy grapes right here. Now, I don’t need to travel far for this experience,” he joked.
Despite the summer heat, the vineyard remains cool and pleasant, thanks to shaded trellises and canopies.
Visitors receive guidance from the vineyard owner on selecting and harvesting the sweetest, freshest clusters.
“The early-season grapes are sweet and bursting with juice. After touring and taking photos, I bought some as gifts for friends and family,” the Bắc Giang native added.
The vineyard offers free entry; visitors only pay for grapes consumed on-site.
Speaking with VietNamNet, the vineyard owner shared that her family has cultivated and managed the vineyard for six years.
The vineyard currently boasts 800 Black Summer grapevines and 300 Green Milk grapevines.
The grapes are grown under strict standards, free from chemical pesticides, and nourished exclusively with organic fertilizers.
Additionally, the vines are cultivated in net houses or greenhouses to regulate temperature, light, and humidity, protecting them from adverse weather and pests.
As a result, the harvested grapes are clean, sweet, and safe for immediate consumption right off the vine.
Each vine is meticulously cared for to ensure a productive harvest.
The owner personally guides visitors through the vineyard, demonstrating how to select and harvest ripe clusters while explaining the cultivation and harvesting process.

After the visitor season, the remaining grapes are sold in bulk to producers for wine and other grape-based products.
