How to care for Dinh Lang plants in terms of feng shui

Dinh Lang plants require very minimal care compared to other ornamental plants. They prefer bright and moist environments, but they can also tolerate shade and dry conditions. However, they cannot tolerate waterlogged environments.

To ensure the plant’s growth and development, pay attention to the following important care techniques:

Soil

Dinh Lang plants can be grown in various types of soil. However, combining sandy soil with good drainage, soft and loose texture, and moderate moisture retention is the best for optimal growth.

Temperature

Dinh Lang plants thrive in environments with temperatures below 25oC.

Water

These plants prefer moist conditions but cannot tolerate waterlogging. In the first 6 months after planting, if there is no rain, you should regularly water the plant with the right amount to keep it moist. Avoid letting water stagnate for too long as it may cause root rot and fungal diseases.

Nutrients

A few days after planting, you should fertilize with Urea (80kg/hectare). This fertilization should be done 2-3 times in the first year. When the plant is over 2 years old, trim excess branches and leaves to only 2-3 leaves around April and September to promote faster growth. Additionally, you should supplement with about 500-600kg NPK (divided into 2-3 times) and 10 tons of manure (applied once) per hectare of Dinh Lang plants.

Propagation

You should select plants with good green foliage, thick stems, and free from diseases. Then, dip the base of the newly-cut branch into a rooting hormone and firmly plant it in a tray with loose soil. Use four fingers to press around the base to secure the plant. After about a month, when you see new and long leaves reaching 10cm, you can transplant them into pots.

Common diseases and their treatment

Dinh Lang plants are rarely affected by pests and diseases, so you hardly need to use any plant protection or pesticide.
