2. How to make stuffed sticky rice lotus root
Step 1: Prepare the ingredients
– After buying sticky rice, wash and remove impurities and broken grains. Gently wash the rice without rubbing it too hard to avoid losing the vitamins in the rice husk. Then soak them in water for about 2 hours. You should not soak the rice for too long as it will make the grains sour and mushy when cooked. Besides, to remove the smell and enhance the flavor of the sticky rice, you can add a little salt.

– Peel the lotus root, wash it thoroughly, and cut off both ends of the lotus root.

Step 2: Stuff the sticky rice into the lotus root
– Use a small spoon and chopsticks to stuff the sticky rice into the lotus root holes. You need to stuff both ends of the cut lotus root.

– Then, use a sharp toothpick to attach the lotus root ends to the body.

Step 3: Cook the stuffed sticky rice lotus root
– Put the stuffed lotus root into a pressure cooker and add enough water to cover the lotus root.

– Then add 50 grams of rock sugar and brown sugar, and cook for about 30 minutes in porridge or stew mode.

– When the cooking time is sufficient, you can transfer the lotus root to a plate or bowl, pour the remaining sauce in the pressure cooker over it, and sprinkle some dried rose flowers for added appealing fragrance.
