2. How to make stuffed mướp with shrimp:
Step 1: Prepare the ingredients
– After buying fresh shrimp, rinse them clean. Then peel off the outer shell and only keep the tail of 7 shrimps, discard the head and the black thread. Use a knife to cut the back of 7 shrimps and then roll them into a circle shape. For the remaining shrimp, mince them.
– Peel the mướp, wash it and cut it into pieces about 3.5 cm long.
– Remove any damaged or yellow leaves from the green onion, wash it and cut it into pieces.
– Take a small bowl, add 1 tablespoon of corn starch and 1 tablespoon of water, then use chopsticks to stir well to make a starch solution.
Step 2: Marinate the shrimp
– Marinate the minced shrimp with a little salt, ground pepper, egg white.
– Use cooking utensils like chopsticks or spoons to mix the ingredients together.
Step 3: Stuff the shrimp into the mướp
– Use a spoon to scoop out 2/3 of the mướp core and then put the minced shrimp into it. Then place the rolled shrimp on top of it and put the mướp piece on a plate.
Step 4: Prepare the sauce
– Bring a bowl of water to boil and then add soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, corn starch solution one by one.
– Boil the mixture over high heat until the sauce thickens, then add the chopped green onion and continue to cook.
Step 5: Steam the stuffed mướp with shrimp
– Place the steamer on the stove, add water and bring it to a boil, then steam the prepared mướp dish for about 10 minutes.
– When the stuffed mướp with shrimp is cooked, put it on a plate, pour the sauce over it and enjoy.
