This guide will help you determine if a dish or container can be used in a microwave.

Fill the cup or glass with cold water that can be used in a microwave.

1. Fill a cup with cold water that is safe for microwave use.

Place the dish or object you suspect into the microwave.

2. Place the dish or container you want to test in the microwave.

Next, place the cup of cold water in the microwave, next to the dish to be tested.

3. Position the cup of water next to the dish in the microwave.

Turn on the microwave and set the timer to 15 seconds.

4. Set the microwave to High for 15 seconds and turn it on.

After 15 seconds, carefully check the temperature of the dish and the water in the cup with your hand. If the dish is hot and the water in the cup is cold, it means that this dish is not safe to use in the microwave, you cannot use it for heating or cooking with the microwave. But if both the dish and the water in the cup are cold, continue the test.

5. After 15 seconds, check the temperature of the dish and water. If the dish is hot and the water is cold, the dish is not safe to use in the microwave. If both the dish and the water are cold, continue the test.

Put the dish and the cup of water back into the microwave, turn on the microwave and set the timer to 30 seconds.

6. Repeat the test by placing the dish and the cup of water back in the microwave. Set the microwave to 30 seconds.

If the dish and the water in the cup are still cold after 30 seconds, put the dish and the cup of water back into the microwave, set the timer to 1 minute.

7. If both the dish and the water are still cold after 30 seconds, continue the test by setting the microwave to 1 minute.

After 1 minute, if the dish is still cold and only the water in the cup is hot, it means that this dish can be used in the microwave. From now on, you can confidently use the dish for heating and cooking with the microwave.

8. After 1 minute, check if the dish is cold and the water is hot. If so, the dish can be used in the microwave for heating and cooking.

Remember, if the dish becomes hot during the testing process, it is not safe to use in the microwave. Only use dishes that remain cold.
