– Turnip: 100 grams

– Baro onion: 1 stalk, garlic

2. How to make sweet potato and beef soup

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients

– After buying the beef, wash it and cut it into bite-sized pieces.

– Peel the sweet potatoes and turnips, rinse them with water, and cut them into small pieces.

– Rinse the baro onion, remove the root, and cut it diagonally into pieces.

– Peel the garlic, rinse it with water, and finely chop it.

– Place a pot of water on the stove, add a little salt and bring to a boil.

– Then blanch the sweet potatoes for about 5 minutes and remove them to a separate bowl.

Step 3: Cook the soup

– Bring a pot of water to a boil and then add the turnips, kelp, and beef to cook for about 30 minutes. During the cooking process, use a spoon or a ladle to skim off the foam.

– Then remove the kelp and add the sweet potatoes to cook for 10 minutes. Season the soup with 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, ½ tablespoon of soy sauce, and a pinch of salt. Depending on your own taste and your family’s taste, you can increase or decrease the seasonings.

– When the sweet potatoes are cooked, add the baro onion to the pot, taste again, then sprinkle with a pinch of ground black pepper and turn off the heat. Ladle the soup into a bowl.
