How to Cook Red Bean Tea
Step 1: Prepare ingredients
Choose red beans that are uniformly large and free of worms. Soak the beans in water for about 6 to 8 hours. To save time, you can soak the beans overnight before cooking.
After soaking, the beans will now expand and become softer. When breaking the beans in half, you proceed to take out the beans, wash and remove the remaining deep seeds, then drain.
Step 2: Cook tea
Put about 1 liter of water in the pot so that the water completely covers the beans. Then cook on the stove for 30 to 40 minutes, maybe add a little salt.
Wait until the red beans are soft and cooked, add sugar to the pot, stir until the sugar dissolves.
Dissolve cornstarch with water. Then slowly pour into the pot of beans, paying attention to stir well until the dough is no longer lumpy and completely dissolved, then you can turn off the stove.
Notes and tips for successful implementation
– Please adjust the sweetness of the tea as you like based on the taste of yourself or your family.
– If you do not like to eat diluted tea, please increase the amount of powder in the tea. But don’t forget to dissolve the powder before adding it.
– Should choose moderate beans, do not crave large seeds because large seeds are not as delicious as you think. Remember to pay attention to choose new seeds, avoid choosing old seeds for a long time. Beans with bright red color, no insects, no spoilage and no unpleasant smell are the most suitable beans to cook a delicious pot of tea.
With extremely simple and quick steps, you can still enjoy the sweet and cool red bean soup with your friends and relatives. Hope you are successful.
