Social media has been abuzz with a young woman’s recent post about some intriguing household items. In her post, she shares her fascinating discovery of well-preserved, long-lasting possessions while wandering around her house.

Among her discoveries was a 28-year-old gas stove, immaculate and free from the ravages of time, rust, or grime. A 37-year-old dish cabinet looked brand new, and even a 18-year-old doormat remained pristine and durable, all thanks to her mother’s meticulous care.

“The saying, ‘well-maintained items last’ rings true,” she exclaimed. While wandering around the house, I discovered numerous long-lasting possessions that my mother has carefully preserved. The 28-year-old gas stove, for instance, still looks brand new, thanks to my mother’s meticulous care. It has helped her prepare countless delicious meals for our family.”

“The rice cooker my mother bought in 1997 is still going strong, and it cooks rice perfectly. The dish cabinet, the cupboard for storing dishes, and the wardrobe, all built 36 to 37 years ago when my parents started living together, are in excellent condition. The chairs from 1994 and 1995, and the rugs from 2005 and 2007, are also well-preserved,” she added.

While the house is immaculate and the appliances durable, the young woman feels a sense of “horizontal pressure.” She also expressed concern for her future sister-in-law, saying, “Seeing how well my mother maintains things makes me feel pressured, and my brother is still unmarried. I hope our future sister-in-law won’t be too overwhelmed when she joins our family.”
