During production and transportation, raisins can easily be contaminated with dust, such as bacteria, insects, and dirt. Therefore, if we don’t clean raisins before eating, it’s equivalent to eating insects and dirt. Even people with relatively healthy bodies can easily get infected with parasites after consuming raisins in the long term, and this is especially true for those who are relatively weak.

Therefore, before we eat raisins, we need to wash them thoroughly. But with such wrinkled raisin surfaces, how can we clean them? Please refer to the following 2 secrets to clean raisins and enjoy them comfortably and confidently:

1. Wash raisins with warm water

Pour raisins into warm water at about 30-40 degrees, then stir them in one direction with your hands. Don’t stir too fast, and the best cleaning time is within 3 minutes. Do not leave them for too long because after 3 minutes, raisins can absorb water inside, ruining the taste.

After washing, scoop out the raisins, then rinse them under running water, and finally dry them before eating.

Put raisins in a bowl, add an appropriate amount of starch or flour and salt. Then add water, gently rub the surface of the raisins with your hands.

Then we wash the raisins again and rinse them. Salt has a bactericidal effect, while starch can absorb impurities, making the raisins completely clean. Of course, the washing time should not exceed 3 minutes. After washing, use a paper towel to pat them dry and enjoy.
