Induction cooktop is a very important household appliance in the life of modern families because it is easy to use and cooks food quickly, saving cooking time. However, like any electronic device, it will have its own operating principles that you need to understand in order to extend its lifespan.

1. It is recommended to place the induction cooktop horizontally for better performance. Do not use the cooktop in wet or near open flames to avoid danger. Do not place metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, pot lids, or silver paper on the cooktop surface as they will get hot, causing danger and potentially scratching the cooktop.

2. The power outlet for the induction cooktop has its own configuration, so it should not be shared with other household appliances. The power cable and outlet should not have a lower capacity than the maximum working current of the cooktop. Generally, for a 1300W cooktop, the current should not be less than 10A, and for a cooktop larger than 1600W, the current should not be less than 15A.

3. Do not use paper, fabric, or other objects to indirectly heat on the cooktop surface to avoid excessive heat causing fire and danger.

4. Do not place the induction cooktop on a carpet or tablecloth, as it will block the ventilation or exhaust air, affecting the cooling process. When using, it is recommended to place a hard board under the cooktop. Do not heat up pans or pots when there is nothing in them as it can cause high heat and crack the cooktop control panel.

5. During transportation and use, handle the cooktop gently to avoid damaging the surface. If there are any cracks on the surface, turn off the power immediately and send it for repair. Do not heat food in sealed containers as the air inside the container can explode due to thermal expansion.

6. Do not drag or forcefully place pots or pans on the glass surface of the cooktop. Do not touch the pan immediately after cooking, as the cooktop surface is hot and can cause burns.

7. Do not place mobile phones, MP3 players, and other objects that are susceptible to magnetic fields on or near the cooktop. Especially within a range of 2 to 3 meters from the cooktop, it is best not to place TVs and other household appliances.

8. When using the induction cooktop, pay attention to water and moisture resistance, and avoid contact with harmful liquids. When cleaning the cooktop surface, wait for it to cool completely and wipe it clean with a neutral detergent. Do not use solvents, gasoline, or strong grease cleaners to clean the surface or body of the cooktop, especially do not use metal brushes, sandpaper, or other hard tools to wipe oil stains on the cooktop surface. Direct washing with water is strictly prohibited.

9. After using the induction cooktop, adjust the power level to the minimum position. Remove the pots after turning off the power. Do not touch the hot cooking area directly.

10. The induction cooktop is suitable for using pans made of cast iron, stainless steel, or enameled. The cooktop cannot be used with non-magnetic materials such as glass, aluminum, copper, etc. to heat food. The diameter of the bottom of the pots and pans should not be less than 12cm, and the curvature of the bottom should not be greater than 2mm. When using, the water level in the pots should not exceed 70% to avoid overflowing after heating and causing a short circuit.

11. When the induction cooktop is heated to a high temperature, do not lift it and then place the pot back down. Instantaneous power increases or decreases may damage the machine’s circuit board and cause malfunctions. Do not use pots and pans that are too heavy. The induction cooktop is different from cooktops made of materials such as tile or iron, so the carrying weight is limited. Generally, the total weight of the food pots should not exceed 5kg, and the size of the pot’s bottom should not be too small, which can cause pressure on the cooktop, resulting in the cooking zone not recognizing the pot or causing waste and time loss.

12. When using the induction cooktop, it is recommended to place the pot in the center, as when the pot is off-center, the heat dissipation may not be balanced and may cause problems.

13. Do not place the induction cooktop on an iron plate, as it will affect the average lifespan of the cooktop and cause unnecessary damage.

14. The induction cooktop has a very high working efficiency and heats up very quickly. It is best to prepare everything before starting to avoid burning the food or having to rush to gather ingredients while cooking.

15. When using the induction cooktop for cooking, the temperature of the cooking oil should not be too high; otherwise, the cooktop will shut down. Generally, the temperature of the oil should be controlled at around 200 degrees, as excessively high temperatures can also be harmful to the human body.

16. Prevent insects (cockroaches, etc.) from crawling through the exhaust vents, as they can cause damage to the cooktop.

17. After using the induction cooktop (or not using it for a long time), unplug it immediately after the cooling fan stops working. Disconnect it from the power supply to avoid unnecessary damage to the cooktop.
