The process of screen recording on an iPhone can now be easily done through the built-in features on the device or with the help of supporting software.

Here are some simple ways to record the screen on an iPhone.

Recording screen on an iPhone using the screen recording feature

The method of recording the screen using the built-in feature on an iPhone is only applicable to devices running iOS 12 or later. This feature provides many utilities, allowing users to easily capture screen actions or exciting gaming experiences.


Simple ways to record the screen on an iPhone.

First, you open Settings and select Control Center. Then, you choose Customize Controls.

In the Controls section, you press on Screen Recording. Next, you press the plus icon to add the screen recording feature to the Control Center on your device.

Users can check whether the screen recording feature has been successfully added by opening the Control Center and selecting the Included section. If the screen recording feature has been added successfully, it will be displayed in this section with a red minus sign.

When you want to record the screen on your iPhone, you need to open the Control Center.

For iPhones with the Home button, you swipe up from the bottom to open the Control Center.

For iPhones with Face ID, you swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open the Control Center.

Press the Screen Recording button, then a 3-second countdown will appear on the screen before starting recording. When the Screen Recording button turns red, it means that the screen recording video is being recorded.

After finishing recording, you open the Control Center again and select the Screen Recording icon to stop the video recording. The recorded video will be saved in the Photos app on the iPhone.

Recording screen on an iPhone with Face ID

For devices equipped with Face ID such as iPhone 12 series, iPhone 14, you can record the screen by following these steps.

First, you swipe down from the top right “ear” of the iPhone to access the Control Center. Then, you press the Screen Recording icon to start the screen recording.

When you want to stop the screen recording, you press the red icon at the top left corner of the screen. Then press Stop.

Recording screen on an iPhone with Touch ID (Home button)

For devices equipped with Touch ID like iPhone SE 2020, or products like iPhone 6, iPhone 7, iPhone 8 series, you can record the screen using the following steps.

First, you swipe up from the bottom edge of the iPhone to access the Control Center. Then, you press the Screen Recording icon to start the screen recording.

The process of stopping the recording on these devices is similar to iPhones with Face ID. You just need to press the red icon at the top left corner of the screen and then press Stop.
