3 How to Use Selsun Shampoo
For Normal Hair:
Wet your hair and apply a small amount of Selsun anti-dandruff shampoo. Massage gently into the scalp for about 2-3 minutes, ensuring the product penetrates the roots. Then, rinse thoroughly with clean water. For severe dandruff, use it every other day until the issue subsides, and then reduce to twice a week.
For Dyed Hair:
If you’ve recently dyed or permed your hair, wait at least a week before using Selsun. To provide your hair with a nourishing boost, combine the anti-dandruff shampoo with olive oil, green tea, or coconut oil. As with normal hair, those with severe dandruff should use it every other day for optimal results, reducing the frequency to twice a week once the condition improves.
Since Selsun helps regulate sebum production, you can continue using it once a week even after your dandruff is gone to prevent its recurrence. Just remember to alternate it with your regular shampoo!
