Use 1 egg yolk mixed with 25-40g of boric acid powder, which you can buy at a veterinary store, to make a trap for cockroaches. Then, mix the two ingredients together until the mixture becomes thick. Divide the mixture into small round balls, about the size of a tennis ball.

If you suspect there are cockroaches in certain areas of your house, place these balls there. It could be in hidden corners, shelves, cabinets, etc. When cockroaches smell the egg, they will immediately come to nibble on it. The boric acid powder will swell and destroy their digestive system, causing them to die.

Trap cockroaches with baking soda

First, mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with sugar in a 1:1 ratio. Put the cockroach bait in a tall jar with a mouth big enough for the cockroaches to crawl in. Then, you can apply a little cooking oil inside the mouth of the jar to prevent them from crawling back out. This mixture is harmless to dogs and cats but lethal to cockroaches. This is because cockroaches have a lot of acid in their stomachs to digest harmful food. When the acid in their bodies reacts with baking soda, it produces gas, causing the cockroaches’ bellies to expand and eventually kill them.

To make this trap, you will need: 2-3 plastic bottles, adhesive tape, squeezed coconut water, sugar water, sweet solutions, etc.

Here’s how to do it: Cut off the top of a bottle, remove the cap, and place it upside down inside the bottom of the bottle, then secure it with tape. Then, add some coconut water, sugar water, sweet solutions, etc. to the bottle. Finally, place the traps in areas where cockroaches are most likely to be found, such as corners of the house, dark corners, the kitchen, etc. You can make multiple traps and place them in different locations.

The next morning, check the traps, and you will find quite a few cockroaches caught. At this point, just pour some detergent or hot water into the bottle to kill the cockroaches.

Trap cockroaches with beer cans

Open a beer can and leave the lid wide open. Simply drop a piece of bread into the can and place it in areas where cockroaches often pass by, such as corners of the house, the kitchen, near the trash can, etc. Soon, you will see that the beer and bread attract cockroaches to crawl into the can and get trapped at the bottom. To completely kill the cockroaches, add a little dish soap or soap powder into the can.
