Note: The VssID app requires users to register an account, and each account can only be set up on one device. If you don’t have an account yet, you can register directly within the app.

Checking Your Social Insurance Number on Your Health Insurance Card
Alternatively, you can find your social insurance number on your health insurance card. Specifically, the last 10 digits of your health insurance card number are also your personal identification number for both health and social insurance. Each employee has a unique set of digits, which is their social insurance number.
– Starting from April 1, 2021, a new version of the health insurance card will come into effect nationwide. Notably, the card number will only have 10 digits instead of the current 15 digits, and these 10 digits will also be the social insurance number.
– This will reduce the number of digits that participants need to declare when making inquiries or when applying for health insurance or requesting a replacement or exchange of the card. Fill in the required information, including province/city, social insurance agency, ID card number, social insurance number, phone number to receive OTP, and full name. Choose the time period you want to inquire about and click “Get OTP.”
Enter the OTP sent to your phone and click “Search.” Note that the OTP is only valid for 4 minutes. The results will look like the image below.
Using a Text Message
Send a text message with the following content: BH QT [social insurance number] [from year] [to year] to 8079. You will receive a reply with your social insurance contribution history.

Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner
Then, select Personal Management => Insurance Participation History. Here, you will see functions such as Health Insurance Card, Insurance Participation History, Benefit Information, and Medical Examination Book.
