– Cleaning thermal flasks

After a period of use, thermal flasks will produce a lot of sediment at the bottom. If not cleaned for a long time, the sediment inside will become thicker and thicker, even affecting the quality of the water and our health.

The mouth of a thermal flask is usually small, so it is difficult for us to reach in and scrub like normal flasks, and we need special tools. If there are no supporting tools, you can put thoroughly washed eggshells into the thermal flask, along with a little water, then tightly close the lid and shake the flask evenly.

The main component in eggshells is calcium carbonate, which releases super active agents in high temperature environments, thereby promoting the process of decomposing sediment at the bottom and inside the flask. And during continuous shaking, the eggshells will always rub against the flask, thereby cleaning the dirt on the surface and at the bottom of the flask.

– Cleaning range hood

Eggshells can also be used to clean range hoods. The method is also very simple, first we prepare a disposable mask and use scissors to cut off one end of the mask. Then prepare 2 eggshells, crush them and put them inside the mask, tightly tie the mask and it’s done.

Next, pour a bit of baking soda and white vinegar into a bowl, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and a little hot water, stir well to prepare the cleaning solution to clean the range hood.

Then, use the mask with crushed eggshells soaked in the cleaning solution to wipe off the oil stains on the range hood. The oil stains can be cleaned after just a few simple steps.

This is because baking soda and dishwashing liquid in the solution have a strong effect in removing oil and grease, while white vinegar can soften dirt. Moreover, the eggshells inside the mask will increase friction, effectively cleaning the smoke and oil sticking on the surface of the range hood without worrying about scratching the surface.

After wiping the range hood, use a clean cloth to wipe it again and the range hood will be clean and shiny like new.
