1. New Year’s Day
Since New Year’s Day in 2023 falls on a Sunday, workers will have a compensatory day off on Monday, January 2nd, 2023.

2. Lunar New Year
During the Lunar New Year, workers will enjoy a 9-day break, from the 29th of the last lunar month to the 5th of the first lunar month (January 20th to 26th, 2023).

3. Hung King’s Commemoration Day
This year, workers will have a 3-day break for Hung King’s Commemoration Day, from Saturday to Monday (April 9th to 11th). Since it falls on a Sunday this year, there will be an extra day off.

4. National Reunification Day and International Labour Day
2022 National Reunification Day and International Labour Day Holiday Schedule
For National Reunification Day and International Labour Day in 2023, there will be a 4-day break, from April 30th to May 3rd. Since April 30th falls on a Saturday, there will be an extra day off on Tuesday, May 3rd.
5. National Day
According to a document issued by the Government Office, there will be a 3-day break from September 1st to 3rd, with the holiday falling on Friday and followed by the weekend.
This means workers will enjoy a 4-day break from September 1st to 4th.
The Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs encourages businesses to follow the common holiday schedule and inform their employees at least 30 days in advance.
For those working during the holidays, overtime and night shift wages should be at least 300% of regular wages, excluding regular wages for that day.
