This is how to properly use wardrobe tape and avoid wardrobe malfunctions

Nowadays, t-shirts, tank tops, and tube dresses are all sewn with two ribbons or plastic strings inside. The purpose is well known: to hang on hangers, making the clothes more durable. Because if you hang them in the traditional way, the shoulder part of the clothes will bear the weight of the entire garment, making it prone to stretching and losing its shape. This can be seen as an extremely useful invention, compared to a “cutting-edge weapon” that helps you effectively preserve your clothes.

However, not everyone likes these two strings. Many people find them annoying and embarrassing when they stick out. Moreover, not many people actually use them for their intended purpose. So how do you use them?

For hooks like the ones shown below, it is clear that hanging clothes will be easy. You just need to hang those two strings onto the grooves of the hook and confidently put them in the closet.

However, with smooth hooks that do not have grooves, hanging the two strings will be unnecessary as they will quickly fall off after you hang them. So what is the solution?

It’s really simple, just cross the left shoulder strap over the right side of the hook, and the right shoulder strap in the opposite direction. Your clothes will securely be in place on the hanger and will still maintain their shape. Give it a try!

However, sometimes these “magical” strings can also cause inconvenience when they fall out. You can fix them by folding the straps in the opposite direction of the collar, using a needle and thread to secure them. Now you can comfortably wear your favorite clothes without worrying about these strings bothering you anymore.
