If 2 cabbages have the same size, housewives should choose the heavier ones because those are the ones with more leaves, dense core, and very delicious.

When choosing cabbage, it is recommended to choose ones with a round shape because usually the rounder the cabbage, the tastier it will be. Avoid choosing ovoid-shaped or deformed ones.

How to Store Cabbage

When buying cabbage, before putting it in the refrigerator for storage, it is recommended to use a large enough nylon bag to tightly wrap the cabbage before putting it in storage. By doing this, the cabbage will remain fresh for 1 to 2 weeks.

If you don’t finish the whole cabbage, you can sprinkle some water on the remaining part and then put it in a bag and store it in the refrigerator. However, cabbage should only be stored for 1 to 2 days after it has been cut.
