Using stainless steel spoon
Take a long-handled stainless steel spoon and stick it deep into the sugar jar. The ants will stick to the spoon, so you just need to lift the spoon out of the jar and they will be gone.
Similarly, you can replace the stainless steel spoon with chopsticks. Stick a few chopsticks deep into the bottom of the sugar jar, wait for the ants to stick to the chopsticks, then lift them out and shake them off. Repeat this process until all the ants are gone.
Expose the sugar jar to sunlight
You can open the lid of the sugar jar and leave it outside in the sun for about 10 minutes. The high temperature will make the ants run away. When you see that all the ants have crawled out, simply close the lid tightly.
Using newspaper
Spread a piece of paper or newspaper on a tray and pour the sugar onto it evenly, then let it dry in a dry place. Tap the tray lightly to create vibrations, causing the ants to crawl out. Then, you just need to lift the paper and pour the sugar back into the jar.
Preventing ants from entering the sugar jar
To prevent ants from crawling into the sugar jar, besides tightly twisting the lid, you can place the jar in a water-filled dish. This method will prevent the ants from crawling into the jar.
Another way is to use a rubber band. Simply wrap a few loops of a rubber band around the outside of the jar, the ants will be afraid to come near due to the smell of rubber.
