If you are craving sweet drinks like carbonated drinks, it may be because you are deficient in calcium and magnesium, causing fatigue and drowsiness, so the brain sends signals to need these drinks to replenish energy.

Similarly, if the body is deficient in chromium, it also affects blood sugar balance, making you feel tired and lack of energy. Therefore, you will crave sweets more. Chromium and insulin play a role in balancing blood sugar, controlling weight, and helping you enjoy eating. Low blood sugar or blood sugar disorders due to chromium deficiency will stimulate the body to seek sweets.

Vitamin B deficiency causes sweet cravings

If you crave sweets along with feeling stressed and tired, you are probably deficient in vitamin B. Thyroid dysfunction

If the thyroid gland is not functioning properly, the hormonal balance in the body is disrupted. This can be one of the reasons why you feel stressed, tired, and out of energy. And when the source of energy in the body is “exhausted,” you also feel more cravings for sweets than ever before.

So if suddenly you crave a lot of starchy foods, sweet foods, then take a look at the issues in your body and have a general check-up to promptly correct them. Eating sugar and foods high in starchy sugars is not good for your health. In the long run, they increase the risk of excess weight gain, aging, damaging skin and hair.
