Gizzard

There is a saying that “One gizzard is worth three medicines,” which partially confirms the benefits of consuming gizzard correctly. In fact, the gizzard is the chicken’s stomach, and this organ is highly nutritious, providing abundant proteins and amino acids.

In traditional medicine, the gizzard is known to promote gastrointestinal motility, reduce indigestion, nourish the stomach, alleviate anemia, and more. It is also rich in iron, especially heme, a form of iron that is easily absorbed by the body. Consuming gizzard helps regulate, prevent, and reduce anemia caused by iron deficiency.

The chicken heart is an extremely valuable part of the chicken as it is nutritious and unique in the chicken’s body. It is not always available fresh in the market due to its limited quantity.

In traditional Chinese medicine, chicken heart has the function of nourishing the blood, promoting Qi circulation, and can assist in treating conditions such as anemia, darkened skin, cold extremities, and many other diseases.

The chicken heart is also rich in vitamin B12, an essential nutrient involved in DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation. Additionally, it contains abundant zinc, which is necessary for cell development, aids in wound healing, and helps control blood sugar levels.
