1. Ingredients for beef mushroom sauce

– Beef: 200 grams

– Dried shiitake mushrooms: 10 large ones

– Onions: ¼ bulb

– Cornstarch: 1 teaspoon

– Ginger, garlic, roasted sesame seeds

– Seasoning: Salt, cooking oil, soybean paste

2. How to make beef mushroom sauce

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients

– After buying the beef, wash it and soak it in clean water to remove excess blood. Then, slice the beef into small dice and put it in a clean bowl.

– Soak the dried shiitake mushrooms in warm water to soften. Then, squeeze out the water and cut the mushrooms into small squares.

– Peel the ginger, wash it and finely chop it.

– Peel the garlic, wash it with water and chop it finely.

– After peeling, wash the onions and finely chop them.

Step 2: Marinate the beef

– Take the bowl of diced beef, add ½ teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of cooking oil and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch.

– Then, use cooking utensils such as spoons, chopsticks… to mix well and marinate for about 30 minutes for the meat to absorb the seasonings.

Step 3: Stir-fry the beef

– Place the pan on the stove, add a little cooking oil and heat it. Then, add the chopped onions, ginger, and garlic and stir-fry until fragrant. If you want to add a spicy taste to the dish, you can also chop some chili and stir-fry together.

– Wait until the ginger and garlic release their aroma, then add the beef and stir-fry on high heat. You can stir-fry the beef until it becomes fragrant and releases its juice.

Step 4: Mushroom sauce

– Add the chopped dried shiitake mushrooms to the stir-fry pan with the beef, then season with 1 teaspoon of soybean paste, 1/3 teaspoon of salt and a little sugar to suit your family’s taste.

– Continue stirring the beef and mushroom mixture on low heat for 20 minutes until the beef is tender. Then sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds and turn off the heat.

The beef mushroom sauce after cooking has a delicious color and aroma. You can wait for the dish to cool down a bit and serve it with white rice. Although the cooking method is simple, the beef mushroom sauce is both delicious and satisfying.

3. Note when making beef mushroom sauce

– When choosing beef, you should choose fresh beef with red color and alternating light yellow fat and white beef tendon. In addition, you should buy pieces of meat that are small and soft but not too fine. To choose good beef, you can gently press your fingertip on the meat. Good meat will have good resilience, be dry, not sticky and not greasy.

– You should not chop the beef too finely so that it does not shrink when stir-frying and marinating.
