Exfoliation
According to dermatologists, the skin tends to produce more oil in the summer and peel in the cold season. Skin care and exfoliation are the important first steps to remove dead skin cells from the outer layer. Exfoliate one to two times a week, avoid excessive exfoliation.
Properly cleanse the skin
If you regularly wear makeup, remember to thoroughly remove it before washing your face. Also, choose an unscented facial cleanser, soap-free or mild soap instead of harsh cleansers.
You can seek advice from dermatologists to choose a suitable facial cleanser for your skin type and appropriate for the current weather.
Moisturize the skin
To address dry, flaky skin during seasonal transitions, use a lightweight moisturizer that controls oil and does not clog pores.
Especially at night, use moisturizers with whitening properties to make your skin look brighter. Don’t forget to moisturize your body as well.
Dermatologists recommend using body moisturizers that contain alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), as it can effectively nourish the skin.
Apply a facial mask
You can use paper masks twice a week or natural masks to supplement moisture for the skin, deep clean pores, and maintain the natural pH balance.
Stay hydrated
You should consume 2 liters of water every day regardless of the time. However, you can drink more or less depending on your health condition and daily activities.
Follow a balanced diet
You should increase the intake of green vegetables and fruits that provide vitamins such as vitamin C, B, E, A, and minerals like iron, zinc, calcium, omega-3 fatty acids – a type of fat that the body cannot synthesize on its own and needs to be obtained from external food sources.
Choose the right sunscreen
Before going out, take the time to apply sunscreen. When choosing a sunscreen, choose one with an SPF index above 30 for the most effective protection.
Light makeup
If you try to cover imperfections with thick layers of makeup, it will only further dry out your skin. Limit your makeup routine, or simply apply a thin layer of foundation, a touch of blush for a rosy glow, and a lip balm, enough to make you look refreshed and vibrant.
