Before buying clothes, dresses, if you need to evaluate the quality of the fabric, try the following ways:
Inspect the fabric in front of the light
Inspect the fabric through a light source to determine if they are thick or thin. If the light passes through a lot, the fabric is not high-quality; if the light passes through less, the fabric is good.
Check for wrinkles
If a garment wrinkles easily, it will make you uncomfortable in many situations. So if you want to check if the fabric wrinkles a lot or not, you can crumple the fabric into a fist and then let it go. If the fabric quickly smooths out, it will have fewer wrinkles. If the fabric wrinkles a lot, you should consider whether to buy it or not. Some natural fabrics often wrinkle more than processed ones. However, if you want your clothes to maintain their shape for a long time, you should consider the wrinkle-resistance of that brand.
Check the stitching
You want to see if the outfit is well made without having to check the stitches. If the outfit has patterns, check the areas where the pieces are assembled together. If the patterns are misaligned, it indicates that it is not a high-end or luxurious item. Assembling fabric pieces with aligned patterns is a requirement of reputable brands.
Check the shape after trying it on
A high-quality outfit will maintain its shape after trying it on. On the other hand, a low-quality outfit will stretch and lose its shape compared to its original form. If these types of clothes are easy to change shape, they will look very unflattering when you wear them. Just sitting or standing will ruin the shape. You shouldn’t buy these types of clothes because you will quickly hate them; wearing them for a few minutes will make them look like old clothes.
Check the lining
The stitching and lining reflect the precision of the tailors. If the lining is poor and the stitching of the lining is bad, it shows that they did a sloppy job. When the lining is not given enough attention while wearing, you will feel uncomfortable or the lining will quickly become frayed, torn, making the outfit worn out and ugly.
