Cutting, straightening, and dyeing hair are all factors that can contribute to hair loss and worsen it in some individuals. In addition to using heavily advertised shampoos or specific hair loss medications, folklore offers many highly effective remedies that not only help treat hair loss but also promote stronger hair growth.
Neem pot leaves (squid grass)
One effective remedy is to take a pinch of neem leaves, boil them, and then let the water cool. Using this water regularly to wash your hair can help prevent hair loss. You can store this water in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for repeated use.
Eucalyptus leaves
Using fresh eucalyptus leaves to boil water and washing your hair with it on a daily basis can have a great anti-hair loss effect. This water also effectively treats premature graying of hair.
White mulberry bark
Boiling and washing your hair regularly with 400g of white mulberry shell (known as tang white skin, available in Oriental medicine stores) can prevent hair loss and promote new hair growth.
Fresh ginger
If your scalp is affected by fungus or scabies and your hair struggles to grow, regularly applying freshly pounded ginger juice to that area can promote hair regrowth over time.
Peanuts (groundnut)
In cases of hair loss where the affected area struggles to grow hair, grinding a handful of mulberry leaves, a handful of cypress leaves, and 100g of raw peanuts or sesame seeds, then adding lots of ice and using the melted water to wash your hair can yield unexpected results when done consistently for a week.
Salt
Mixing 100-150g of salt with warm water and soaking your hair in it, massaging gently for a few minutes, then washing with a good hair conditioner and rinsing with clean water can yield noticeable results when done 2 to 3 times a week.
Garlic
Applying finely pounded fresh garlic to the area experiencing hair loss, leaving it on for about 2 hours, and thoroughly washing it afterwards can promote hair regrowth. Doing this once a day continuously for a week and then taking a break can yield results. If you don’t see any improvement after 10 days, repeat the process and you’ll see your hair grow back.
