However, many people who grow this plant do not know how to take care of it like many other plants.

Paper flowers come in a variety of colors, creating a fresh, vibrant and attractive space. They bloom all year round and do not have a dormant period, making them suitable for many households. Therefore, anyone can grow paper flowers. In feng shui, paper flowers symbolize good luck, family harmony, and abundant wealth.

Paper flowers also have the meaning of warding off negative energy and attracting good luck into the house. Paper flowers can be planted in pots or grown as climbers over arches or across different floors of houses. But if you grow paper flowers without avoiding these things, they will not grow well and will not have good feng shui significance:

Paper flowers love sunlight and avoid shade

Paper flowers originated from sunny and windy South America. Therefore, the characteristic of paper flowers is “sun-loving”. This means that the space where paper flowers are grown must be sunny and well-lit for the plant to bloom. Paper flowers need regulated water, excessive water will hinder blooming

Paper flowers are drought-tolerant, and they need to be kept dry to prevent excessive leaf growth and promote blooming. To make paper flowers bloom as desired, especially for the Lunar New Year, about 60 days before the holiday, the grower needs to regulate the water for the plant. You can abstain from watering for 5 days, then water with 2 liters on the 6th day, and abstain from watering for another 5 days, and so on. In the usual care of paper flowers, water should also be paid attention to. So many families overwater their paper flowers, resulting in fewer blooms. Check the pot of paper flowers to see if the planting soil has good drainage. If the soil is dry on the surface but retains water at the bottom of the pot, the plant cannot bloom and is prone to death due to waterlogging. Therefore, you need to plant paper flowers in pots with good drainage, with stones or sandy soil at the bottom of the pot for drainage. Avoid overwatering for a prolonged period.

When paper flowers have too much water, they will have good leaves but few buds. When you regulate the water incorrectly, the plant will have small, withered flowers. Therefore, check the moisture in the soil as follows: If the surface of the soil is dry and when you dig about 5cm into the soil, you can feel the moisture, then it is time to water.

Paper flowers are averse to excessive nitrogen

They do not like excessive nitrogen. Paper flowers require care but do not have excessively high demands like roses.
