  • 300g tofu
  • 125ml kelp water
  • 70ml soy sauce
  • 30ml corn syrup
  • 30ml cooking sake
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Green chili

2Method for Korean-style soaked tofu

Step 1 Prepare the tofu

Wash the tofu and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Place the tofu in a glass container and microwave for about 3 minutes at 700W. Remove the tofu and drain the water.

Finely chop the spring onion, garlic, and green chili.

Step 2 Make the Korean-style soaked tofu

Mix the soy sauce mixture with 125ml kelp water, 70ml soy sauce, 30ml corn syrup, 30ml cooking sake. Stir well to blend the flavors.

Pour the soy sauce mixture over the tofu. Add the spring onion, garlic, chopped green chili, and mix well. Pour the remaining soy sauce mixture over the tofu, making sure it is completely submerged. Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour.

Step 3 Finished product

After about 1 hour, you can remove the tofu and enjoy it with rice. If you want the tofu to be firmer and more flavorful, you can soak it for a little longer!
