The name of the restaurant is a combination of the owner’s name and the location: Aunt Sâm’s fish noodle restaurant is located below the Cây Si tree.
Ms. Sâm shared that more than ten years ago, she used to carry her food basket to Hàng Bè market to sell fish noodle under the Cây Si tree. In recent years, she utilized the small front yard to have additional assistants selling with her.
She added: “In the past, my family used to enjoy this dish during meals, on special occasions. Then, people praised it, so I started selling it for more customers to try.“
