2. 1 can of Coca-Cola
3. 2 purple onions, 2 spring onions, 1 garlic bulb
4. Seasoning powder, black pepper, fish sauce, cooking oil.
Instructions
– Step 1: Prepare the ingredients
Wash the pork and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Marinate the pork with 1 teaspoon of seasoning powder, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of fish sauce for about 30 minutes.
Thinly slice or finely chop the garlic, purple onions, and spring onions.
– Step 2: Stir-fry the pork
Heat a pan with a little cooking oil. Add the garlic, onions, and chopped spring onions and sauté until fragrant.
Then, add the marinated pork and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes.
Once the pork starts to brown, pour in the Coca-Cola. Add a bit of fish sauce or seasoning powder if the liquid is not flavorful enough. When the pork is boiling, reduce the heat, simmer until the sauce thickens, then turn off the heat.
Finished dish
The braised pork has a beautiful golden brown color without the need for stock. Serve it on a plate, garnish with spring onions and red chili for visual appeal.
How to make flavorful braised pork with tangy sauce
Not everyone enjoys the taste of tangy and savory country-style sauce. However, braised pork with tangy sauce can definitely win over many food enthusiasts. To make this dish, you will need:
- 300g pork belly;
- 2 pieces of tofu;
- 1/2 cup of tangy sauce. There are many types of tangy sauces available, and they have different levels of saltiness and flavor. Depending on the taste of each sauce, you should adjust the amount used to suit the dish.
- Dried shallots and dried garlic.
Follow these steps:
After preparing the pork by cleaning and parboiling it to remove any unpleasant smell, cut the pork into bite-sized pieces and toss it in a pan to slightly sear the edges.
After searing, marinate the pork with seasonings such as shallots, black pepper, sugar, chili, and tangy sauce. In this recipe, use tangy sauce instead of fish sauce and salt. Marinate the pork for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to penetrate the meat, resulting in a more delicious dish when braised.
Cut the tofu into small square pieces and fry them until golden on all sides.
After marinating the pork, place it in a pot with low heat along with the fried tofu. When braising, gently stir to prevent the tofu cubes from breaking. For this dish, you only need to braise it with the marinade, without adding any additional water, so the cooking time will be quick.
Braised pork is a versatile dish that can be prepared using various methods. In addition to the delicious braised pork recipes mentioned above, you can also make dishes such as pork with coconut, pork and tofu stew, etc.
