1. Store bananas at normal room temperature (about 25ºC)

To keep bananas fresh longer under normal conditions, buy bananas that are still fresh or just ripe (when the stems are still green), the skin of the bananas does not have any scratches or bruises. Such bananas can be stored for about a week if you follow the following steps:

Ensure proper ventilation for your bananas by hanging them on a rack or hook, or placing them in a bowl or fruit tray. This will promote optimal air circulation and extend the lifespan of your bananas.

To ensure optimal preservation, please store the rack, hook, or bowl, fruit tray of bananas in a cool and shaded area, away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

2. Store bananas in the refrigerator

If the bananas are evenly ripe, place them in the refrigerator to prolong their shelf life by approximately four days. To ensure maximum freshness, please adhere to the following guidelines:

– Choose ripe, yellow bananas.

Please place the items in a food-grade plastic bag with a zipper closure, designed specifically for storing food and fruits in the refrigerator. These can be found at most supermarkets.

Please place the bag of bananas in the designated cool compartment of the refrigerator.

Please set the temperature of the refrigerator to approximately 3 degrees Celsius.

Please consume the refrigerated bananas within 4 days.

3. Tips for preserving unfinished bananas

Unfinished bananas cannot be stored at normal temperature for more than a few hours. However, you can put them in the refrigerator to keep them fresh longer with the following tips:

Use the banana peel to securely cover the exposed section of the unfinished banana.

Please place the fruits in a plastic bag. Thank you.

Please ensure that you securely seal the bag and store it in the designated refrigeration area.

4. Tips for keeping bananas fresh and evenly ripe

To expedite the ripening process of unripe bananas, simply place them in a paper bag and securely tie the bag. Within a span of one to two days, the bananas will fully ripen.

When purchasing bananas, it is important to inspect the stems to ensure they are still intact. If the bananas are not firmly attached to the stem, they are likely to spoil before reaching optimal ripeness.
