In her dreams, my mother still sees me as a young man in my prime,

The heavens control the rain and sunshine,

While the elderly worry about countless things.

My parents’ eyes have grown dim,

And they fear they won’t recognize me when I return.

As they wait, their bodies wither away,

And they caress my photograph with fading hope.

But their faith in me gradually diminishes,

And they join me in the realm of eternal rest.

In the distant realm of Nirvana,

I return to my mother’s embrace, by the lotus pedestal.

She cherishes me as she did when I was an infant,

And once again, I am reunited with my mother and father.
