1 Requirements for Obtaining a B2 Driver’s License
According to Article 60 of the 2018 Road Traffic Law, individuals who are 18 years of age or older and have a normal health examination certificate from a medical center as prescribed, are eligible to apply for and take the B2 driving test. They must also be capable of taking responsibility for their actions.
The following cases are not eligible for a B2 driver’s license:
- Individuals with visual acuity below 5/10 (with glasses).
- Individuals with chronic mental disorders.
- Individuals with acute mental disorders or those who have recovered from such disorders less than 24 months ago.
- Individuals with eye defects such as night blindness or glare.
- Individuals with physical disabilities, such as the loss of two or more fingers or one or more feet.
2 What Documents are Required for the B2 Driving Test?
To register for the B2 driving test, you will need to prepare the following set of documents:
- Application form for learning to drive a car.
- Copy of ID card or citizen identification card (no notarization required).
- Health examination report from a district-level or higher hospital.
- Curriculum vitae (no notarization required).
- Ten 3×4 photos (excluding photos attached to the health examination report and curriculum vitae).
- A folder to hold the documents.
3 How Much Does it Cost to Obtain a B2 Driver’s License?
There are various tuition fee options available for obtaining a B2 driver’s license, depending on your needs. Since 2021, the fee has ranged from VND 9,000,000 to VND 11,000,000.
4 Important Notes on the B2 Driving Test Procedure
– For the photos, make sure you are not wearing glasses, and your hair does not cover your ears. Button your shirt, and ensure your hair does not cover your eyebrows.
– All names on the documents must be in capital letters. (For example: NGUYỄN VĂN BÌNH). If you are unsure about any information, ask for clarification to avoid having to make corrections later.
– Your eyesight should be good, and if you are myopic, it should be less than 2 degrees.
– Students should not have muscular atrophy, and their hands and feet should be intact, with no loss of more than a few fingers.
