Step 1 Shrimp Preparation
Shrimp Preparation
Once you have bought the shrimp, start by cutting off their whiskers, removing the veins, and taking out the digestive tract from the heads. After discarding these parts, soak the shrimp in 1 liter of water, 3 tablespoons of white wine, and 3 tablespoons of vinegar for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Then, rinse them again and let them air dry.
Step 2 Cooking the Shrimp
After the previous step, place the shrimp in a steamer or pot and cook until they turn pink and are fully cooked. While waiting for the shrimp to cool down, peel off their shells.
Step 3 Drying the Shrimp with an Air Fryer
Place the shrimp in the air fryer, making sure to not overcrowd them.
Select the drying function and dry the shrimp in two batches. For the first batch, set the temperature to 150 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes. For the second batch, use the same temperature setting but reduce the time to 15 minutes. Then, let them cool down before storing them.
