Thorough Cleansing
Skin needs to be cleansed thoroughly and timely to get rid of dirt from the environment, as well as to prevent harmful accumulation on its surface and within its pores. A face wash can help clean the skin deeply without disrupting its moisture barrier.
Exfoliation
Regular exfoliation is essential for deep cleansing of the skin and removing the accumulation of dead cells. However, be careful not to exfoliate too often as it can break your skin’s protective barrier, particularly if you have sensitive skin. Exfoliate 2-3 times a week for oily and combination skin, once in 6-7 days for normal skin, and once in 7-8 days for dry and sensitive skin.

Boosting with Antioxidants
The most effective cosmetic ingredients with antioxidant properties are vitamins C and E, niacinamide, coenzyme Q10, bakuchiol, and polyphenols.
Vitamin C: helps protect the skin’s cells from free radical damage caused by environmental pollutants. It also helps strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and maintains its hydration levels. Vitamin C is known to stimulate the synthesis of proteins that give the skin its firmness.
Tocopherol, or vitamin E: contains excellent moisturizing properties that help plump the skin and strengthen its moisture barrier. It contributes to reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
Bakuchiol: helps strengthen the skin’s defense system against free radical damage while providing excellent anti-aging effects. It promotes skin renewal.

Coenzyme Q10: this powerful antioxidant and is a frequent ingredient in serums, creams, and facial masks, helps hydrate the skin.
Niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3: has restorative and brightening properties, thus promoting a brighter and more even skin tone, while also helping to calm inflammatory reactions, reducing redness and irritation.
Moisturizing Well
Moisturizing helps replenish the skin’s water content, helping it attract and retain moisture and restores the barrier function, allowing the skin to better resist the penetration of pollutants”.
Protecting the Skin
Opting for probiotics, ceramides, or peptides can greatly support the skin’s protective barrier. Peptides act as humectants, delivering water and hydration to the skin, improving the skin’s barrier function. They also synthesize collagen, the building blocks of proteins in our skin, hence proving to be powerful anti-aging agents.
Sun Protection
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 50 that is formulated with a combination of physical (mineral) and chemical filters and does not include comedogenic ingredients. Sunscreen needs to be applied liberally and frequently to work effectively and needs to be reapplied every two hours if you are exposed to UV radiation.
