Rice is a rich ingredient in the Japanese method of skincare due to its ability to restore a rosy, fresh skin and provide deep hydration. When combined with milk, these two ingredients create a nutrient that slows down the aging process and optimally protects the skin from environmental factors. In this article, we will guide you on how to cook rice with milk simply and in a short amount of time.
1. Necessary tools
- Rice
- Milk
2. Procedure
Step 1: Rinse the rice with water to remove dirt and avoid skin irritation.
Step 2: Put the rinsed rice in a clean pot and add enough water to cover it. Cook until white foam appears, approximately 10 minutes. Stir the rice while boiling to prevent sticking.
Step 3: Reduce the heat and add unsweetened milk to the boiling rice water. Stir for another 5 minutes until well blended.
Step 4: Turn off the heat and pour the mixture into a bowl to cool. Store it in the refrigerator and add a little honey each time before use.
3. How to use
As a facial mask:
Step 1: Cleanse your skin with a cleanser and toner.
Step 2: Mix a sufficient amount of rice milk with a little honey and apply it to your face for 3-5 minutes.
Step 3: Rinse off with cool water after 10-20 minutes and follow with moisturizer.
Note: Do not leave rice milk on the skin for too long as it may cause irritation or unwanted reactions.
For full body whitening:
Use rice milk as a substitute for shower gel and apply it evenly on areas with dark skin. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and rinse off with water.
