“Vietnam Launches Bluezone Project”

The Bluezone proximity detection application is implemented by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Health, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, as a community safeguard against the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Bluezone offers a solution to effectively track close contacts between smart mobile phones. By utilizing Bluetooth low energy technology, the application is able to conserve energy while promptly notifying users of potential exposure to infected or suspected cases. This alert system is triggered by the detection of close contact with an infected individual or someone who has been in contact with a patient. The application analyzes the contact history data stored on all Bluezone users’ phones to generate accurate results.

Information security:

• Contact history data will strictly be utilized to assist health authorities, subject to user consent or in instances where the user is identified as infected or potentially infected.

• Bluezone only retains contact history without storing location information, without accessing or using any other data on the user’s mobile device.

• Bluezone utilizes Bluetooth technology, a widely adopted standard for device connectivity today. This technology has a proven track record in terms of security, guaranteeing the safeguarding of your phone against any hacking attempts.

To ensure seamless functionality, please ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device at all times. Rest assured, Bluezone utilizes Bluetooth BLE low energy technology, resulting in minimal battery consumption (approximately 10% of battery power over a full day of use).

The geographical coordinates of the property can be found on the land papers and red book.

Access important information and updates through websites and applications

• GPS Location Service Lookup

To enable location services on your smartphone, navigate to Settings > Location > On. Once enabled, open the application and access the planning map. From there, select the icon located in the bottom corner of the screen to view the detailed plan specific to your current location.
