At budget hotels, bathrobes are something you cannot take with you after checking out. However, at some high-end hotels, bathrobes with the customer’s name printed on them are considered included in the room rate, so guests can take them home.
Personal hygiene kit
Hotels provide complimentary personal hygiene kits, including shampoo, shower gel, soap, toothbrush, and toothpaste… Some places even provide cotton buds, shower caps, razors, dental floss, mouthwash…
Bottled water
Bottled water is something you can use for free at hotels. Hotels from 3 stars and above usually offer 2 complimentary mineral water bottles for guests. In addition, some places will provide free tea and coffee.
With bottled water, coffee/tea, and personal hygiene kits, you can take them with you if you want after checking out.
Sewing kit
Some hotels will provide a sewing kit with a needle and various color threads for guests to use when necessary. The sewing kit is usually placed in the bathroom or on the dressing table near the bed.
In case of accidental button loss or a few loose threads, you can use the hotel’s sewing kit for “first aid”. If this item is not available in the room, you can still ask the receptionist to borrow one.
