Getting rid of mosquitoes may seem easy but is actually quite difficult. The insecticides or sprays available may yield high results but are quite toxic, especially for households with young children.
Here is a simple, non-toxic way to repel mosquitoes:
Things you will need:
– 5 cloves of garlic
– 3 lemongrass stalks
– 1 small piece of ginger
– 1 lime
– 1 bottle of medicated oil
– 1 medical face mask
Instructions:
Step 1: Peel the garlic cloves and cut them in half, crush the lemongrass stalks, rinse the lime and remove the green rind, slice the ginger into thin strips.
Step 2: Using scissors, cut one side of the ear loops of the face mask and separate the mask to create a pouch.
Note: You can also use a fabric bag as an alternative.
Step 4: Place all the ingredients into the mask and add a few drops of the medicated oil. Then, tightly seal the pouch.
Step 5: Hang the pouch in areas where mosquitoes are commonly found. The mosquitoes will be repelled by the scent and will not dare to come near.
