Middle-aged Health Decline
中-aged is a period when women enter the pre-menopausal and menopausal stage and experience many health changes. Ms. Vu Kim Sa is no exception. Besides focusing on healthy eating, she actively practices yoga and walks daily. However, when she turned 45, the female director had to face the negative changes in her body.
“In recent years, I have often experienced hot flashes. Each time, my face would become hot and flushed, my body would sweat profusely, and I would feel restless and uncomfortable. My mood would fluctuate unpredictably, and it would be difficult to control my emotions. If I’m at home, I would inexplicably get angry with my husband and children, and at work, I would easily get hot-tempered with the staff if they didn’t meet my expectations,” she shared.
In addition, she experienced insomnia and had difficulty sleeping. There were nights when she would lie in bed for hours tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep. When work was stressful and she had to deal with many issues, her mental stress made it even harder to sleep, sometimes causing her to stay awake for consecutive nights. It was not uncommon to only get 1-2 hours of sleep before the day broke. Lack of sleep, restless sleep, and shallow sleep made her wake up with a tired and exhausted body. Despite careful skincare with various beauty products, her skin became darker and more wrinkled.
The pressure of work and the experiencing hot flashes and insomnia made her body feel sluggish, her mind unfocused, and her work less effective. With deteriorating skin, she lacked confidence when meeting partners and clients.
Journey to “Rejuvenation,” Overcoming Hot Flashes and Insomnia
Being someone who cares about health and understands that the symptoms she is experiencing are signs of pre-menopause caused by a decrease in estrogen levels, Ms. Sa sought out hormone boosters.
