White beans are rich in protein and antioxidants, which help improve physical strength and prevent cancer. You can combine white beans with chicken breast – a low-fat and high-protein ingredient – to make a dish for children or people on a weight loss diet.
Ingredients: 300 grams of white beans, 200 grams of chicken breast, 1 egg white, some carrots, some cornstarch.
Seasonings: 1 tablespoon of cooking wine, ginger, green onions, 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of black pepper.
Instructions:
Step 1: Rinse the white beans and drain.
Step 2: Rinse the chicken breast and mince it.
Step 3: Finely chop the carrots.
Step 4: Put the minced chicken, chopped carrots, egg white, and all the seasonings in a bowl, add cornstarch and mix well.
Step 5: Season the white beans with salt and pepper for better flavor. Then, mix the beans with the prepared meat mixture.
Step 6: Line a steamer with parchment paper and brush it with some corn oil to prevent sticking. Pour the white bean and chicken mixture into the steamer.
Step 7: Cover the surface with parchment paper, not too tightly, and steam for about 20 minutes.
Step 8: You can use chopsticks to poke the mixture to check if it’s cooked. If the minced meat does not stick to the chopsticks, it’s cooked. Take it out and let it cool, then transfer it to a plate after about half an hour.
Step 9: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 5 minutes, no need to bake for too long, just until the surface is slightly charred.
Finally, cut into bite-sized pieces, arrange on a plate, and enjoy.
